Tap the + button on the main screen. You can scan a coffee bag label with your camera and CoffeeLog will fill in the details automatically, or you can enter everything manually.
Scanning works best in good lighting with the bag held flat and steady. If a field is missing or incorrect after the scan, you can edit it before saving. Not all bag labels follow a consistent layout, so some fields may need to be filled in by hand.
Open a coffee from your collection and tap Add Brew. Fill in the brew method, recipe details, and your rating. You can add tasting notes at any time.
Yes. Open the coffee from your collection and tap the edit button to change any field, add photos, or update notes.
Swipe left on any entry in a list to reveal the delete option, or open the entry and use the delete action in the menu.
Go to Settings within the app and tap Set Up Cloud Sync. Follow the steps to connect your iCloud account. Once connected, your collection and brew history will be backed up automatically.
On your second device, go to Settings → Set Up Cloud Sync, connect iCloud, then use the Restore from iCloud option. Your coffees and brew sessions will be merged with any entries already on the device.
Yes. iCloud sync is completely optional. All your data is stored on your device and the app works fully without it.
If you had iCloud sync enabled before deleting the app, you can restore your data after reinstalling by going to Settings → Set Up Cloud Sync → Restore from iCloud.If iCloud sync was not enabled, the data cannot be recovered.
No. Your journal stays on your device. If you use iCloud sync, data is stored in your own iCloud account — it is not accessible to the developer. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
