FAQ’s
What is CEASC?
Colorado Elementary Honor Choir exists to give elementary students the opportunity to participate in a state-wide choral experience while learning under world-renowned conductors. We exist under the Colorado Music Educators Association. Teachers must be members to participate in this choir.
Who can participate?
CEASC is open to all 4th and 5th grade students with teacher selection. 6th grade students are allowed to participate if 6th grade is a part of the Elementary School.
How do they learn the music?
Practice tracks, along with music selection, will be provided to teachers on October 20th following the completion of all paperwork and payments. Music teachers will work with their singers to prepare and memorize the music by the day of the event.
What do they wear for the concert?
Each singer is to wear black slacks (no capris, leggings, athletic pants, or skirts), black socks, and solid black dress shoes (no ornamentation, no tennis/athletic shoes, no high boots). These items are mandatory. Singers will change into the performance T-shirts for the concert. The performance T-shirt will be worn “tucked in” during the performance.
May I chaperone?
You will need to check with your music teacher to volunteer to be a chaperone using the official chaperone form. That said, you can also review our chaperone policies linked here.
When do students need to be there?
Students will need to arrive at the rehearsal venue between 8:00 AM and 8:25 AM on Saturday, January 31st, 2026. Our first rehearsal starts promptly at 8:30 AM.
