Relativistic Heavy Ions

The collected material was presented at the National Nuclear Physics Summer School 2024. The lectures explore the physics of relativistic heavy-ion collisions, beginning with the creation of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP). Then, introduces hard probes as tools to investigate the properties of the QGP, such as energy loss and medium-induced modifications. Finally, the lectures explore unexpected results from experiments.
