Electron Ion Collider

The collected material was presented at the National Nuclear Physics Summer School 2024. The lectures cover the motivation behind the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) and the fundamentals of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). Topics include probing hadrons' emergent properties and internal structure with techniques that allow investigation without destruction. The series concludes with how nuclei can serve as femtoscale detectors to explore these extreme states of matter.
