Sometimes, younger students have developed solid Scratch skills. To see if they are ready to participate, please visit the Sample Problems page. Also, look at the list of Scratch skills below to check if your child is ready. The child should be able to independently work with Google Classroom and follow the instructions on submitting Scratch files.

Is the competition suitable for novice Scratchers?

The goal of this competition is to give experienced coders a chance to test their skills and knowledge. We hope that participation in the competition will expose them to new types of problems and challenges. As a result, most problems will be too challenging for novice coders.
