(4/15/2026) NEW ANNOUNCEMENT
We have successfully completed a full rebuild of all course materials to ensure compliance with the updated American Heart Association guidelines for CPR, ECC, and Basic First Aid. These updates were required to be in place by April 30.
We are also excited to announce the launch of our Plan Membership program in the State of Michigan, beginning April 15, 2026.
As part of this expansion, we have added four new courses that include an adult component. When enrolling students, please review course selections carefully to ensure you are choosing the correct course. Courses that include adult components will not affect Plan Member pricing.
Additionally, three new Skills Evaluation Forms—1004, 1005, and 1006—have been introduced to support these new adult-inclusive courses.
Important Notice:
During this transition period, both the old and new course versions will be active. As a result, there will be two versions of Skills Evaluation Forms 1001, 1002, and 1003 in use.
It is essential to verify when a student enrolled in their course in order to determine which version of the skills evaluation form to use. The correct form selection should be clearly indicated during the skills evaluation submission process.
This transition period is temporary and is expected to be fully resolved no later than August 30, 2026.
Additional information will be emailed to all plan member centers and instructors in the next few weeks. Please contact us for assistance or questions
Thank You as always for being the best part of First Response Health and Safety Training.

All students enter their personal OPIN # when registering for a course, If there is a fictitious number or invalid number the training will not show up in your profile after you receive your final certification from us by email. Notify us by email with your name, email address, OPIN #, and course taken and we can then update your record. You may also submit a copy of your certificate to OCCRRA to have them update it to your profile.
All student's must have a personal email that is unique only to them.
You must have your OPIN # or your Students OPIN# to register for courses.
All courses have video enforcement now; This means you cannot click completed and advance until the video has played at least 80% or more. This ensures that your employees are taking the course as prescribed. There is a minimum of 70% correct to pass the course.
All certification cards and forms go to the student at their personal email. Please ask them to forward the completion certificate or form to you, for your records if needed.
Receipts can now be accessed by the student at any time by logging in to the system and clicking the blue circle in the upper right corner then choose "My Profile" click "Transactions" then "View Receipts".
Student's have 120 calendar days to complete the course from date of purchase or enrollment. Skills tests if required must be done within 30 calendar days of completing the course. CPR / AED and/or Basic First Aid courses at a maximum must be completed and electronically submitted in a total of 150 calendar days. (This allows 120 days to complete Part 1 and a maximum of 30 days to complete the skills evaluation and submit it to us). In all cases skills testing is required to be completed within 30 days after Part 1 completion.
All student's courses are auto deleted from the system at 120 calendar days after purchase. The student profile is not removed and will remain in the system unless deleted by us. The course expiration date is always listed in the students course listing on the course picture itself.
We issue Certification Cards upon completion of all components for: CPR, Basic First Aid, and CPR & Basic First Aid combination courses as well as the Instructor course. These are valid for 2-Years.
We issue an ODJFS Training Form # 01276 for all Communicable Disease, Child Abuse courses and are valid for 3-Years
You do not need a PMCODE for Child Abuse, Communicable Disease, and NST (No Skills Test) Basic First Aid courses. All pricing for these courses are the same for everyone now.
"No Skills Test" Basic First Aid courses are issued an ODJFS Form 01276 and are valid for 2-Years.
The system will provide you with a certification of completion in all courses that you can immediately print. by logging in to the system and clicking the blue circle in the upper right corner then choose "My Profile" click "Achievements" then view and print the temporary certificate. This, however, will not suffice as proof of training for ODJFS / ODE. It can be used as temporary proof until we issue the actual card or certificate which almost always is within 1 business day of completion. We will email the above certificates, or form upon completion and processing. These are processed throughout the business day to approximately 4:00 PM. Completions after 4:00 PM or on weekends will be processed on the next business day. They will be dated for the actual date of completion.
All instructors are required to always maintain CPR and Basic First Aid certifications to keep their instructor card valid. The instructor certification does not meet the requirements of licensing for CPR and Basic First Aid. Any skills test performed by an instructor that is not current in CPR & Basic First Aid at the time of the skills evaluation are null and void and will not be accepted by licensing.
