This page serves as a quick glance for players to see what rules apply to the tournament and how they should conduct themselves according to the way the tournament is run.
This is a Proxy-friendly cEDH tournament created by the community in hopes of raising the competitive spirit for the EDH format and boosting player interaction.
Please make yourself familiar with all the rules in the Players Supplementary Rules Codex codex page.
Players are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous manner during the event respecting their opponents, the judges, Sword & Board Staff members, the rules set out by Magic: the Gathering, the Commander Rules committee, Tournament organizers rules and the players around them! Anyone attending the event is expected to follow the Supplementary Rules Codex and will be penalized according to those standards.
Please note we encourage proxying cards over the value of R1000.00 and proxying any cards you are missing to make the most competitive deck possible.
Food and drinks are strictly to be kept off tables where competitive play is taking place.

Proxies are allowed! That's right this event is pro proxy as long as you follow some simple guidelines you will be able to play with dual lands and all the reserve list cards! We encourage players to proxy cards above R1000.00 and any missing cards that would enhance that players win chance.
Please note all MDFC's must also be appropriately proxied using the official WOTC printed tokens and the token should be legibly identifiable as it's respective MDFC.
Players are allowed to play with any proxies so long as they are:
Legible
Printed in color
Are in English
Image to be taken directly from the Gatherer website or Scryfall as the first image presented by the respective website
(Gatherer: https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspx
Scryfall: https://scryfall.com/ )
Images should preferably be the standard updated printing of a card instead of any alternative arts
The proxy paper is sleeved in a way so as not to give players information that it is a proxy or a certain card. (This includes proxy paper hanging out of sleeves or being overly thick so as to be considered a marked card.)
No player may pass a proxy off as a real card
The proxy paper is put in front of a magic card with the official wizards tournament backing.
Please note all non-tournament legal cards (gold border, collectors edition, modal face or 30th edition) are to be proxied. Every card in a player's starting deck should have the official backing. Modal cards may be proxied using the modal tokens or a proxy. If however modal cards are proxied with the token they must be replaced with the original as soon as it is played.
Any card that fails to meet these rules on the day will have to be proxied appropriately, swapped out for the original card if possible or replaced with a basic land with accordance to the EDH rule set.
For more info regarding the nuances of the tournament structure and player expectation please go to the Supplementary Rules Codex for in depth rules and regulations. Players are expected to understand and consent to these rules before entering the tournament.
