Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (“App”) and related services.
By using CoAim, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:
a. Personal Information
When you create an account or link with your partner, we may collect:
Name
Email address
Profile photo (optional)
Partner invite code or partner’s user ID
Login credentials (secured via Firebase Authentication)
b. App Usage Data
We collect app activity data to help improve functionality, such as:
Mood logs, goal progress, and shared activities
App version and usage timestamps
Device information (model, OS version, language)
c. Device & Notification Data
If you enable push notifications, we may collect:
Device token (FCM Token) for sending alerts or updates
d. Partner Linking Data
If you link with a partner, your account may store your partner’s UID and shared goals/moods.
This data is only shared between linked partners and never made public.
We use your information for the following purposes:
To create and manage your user account
To sync and share moods/goals with your linked partner
To send reminders, notifications, and updates
To personalize your app experience
To improve app performance and reliability
To ensure security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use
We take your data security seriously.
All communication is encrypted using HTTPS.
Data is securely stored in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Authentication.
Passwords are never stored in plain text.
Only authorized systems and authenticated users can access your account data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share information only in the following cases:
With your linked partner account (for shared moods/goals only)
With service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., Firebase, Google, Apple)
When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights
When you link your account with a partner:
Certain shared data (moods, goals, chats) is accessible by both users.
If either user deletes their account, all linked/shared data will also be permanently deleted.
When you delete your account:
Your account and all associated data, including partner links, will be permanently removed from our servers.
This action cannot be undone.
You can:
Update your profile information at any time.
Unlink from your partner through the app’s settings.
Disable push notifications in your device settings.
Request data deletion or export by contacting us (see Section 10).
CoAim is not intended for users under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it immediately.
CoAim uses trusted third-party services, including:
Firebase Authentication (for secure login)
Firebase Firestore (for cloud data storage)
Firebase Cloud Messaging (for push notifications)
Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In (for authentication convenience)
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing data use.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
When you delete your account, we permanently remove all data within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 7 days).
