Students will share equipment (playing catch w/ ball) with their classmates.
We will keep both classes in the gym when there's in-climate weather.
Mask requirements. Students will wear masks to and from P.E when inside.
Water bottles are welcome at P.E. Especially when we are outside. Our classes are 60 min. this year which makes it important for our students to have a water option.
Hand washing -- Students should wash/sanitize hands before and after class.
Focus on Fitness:
With our longer classes it gives us the ability to include many activities into one lesson. We will focus on personal fitness this year for our warm-ups. We will incorporate Shape America's 5 Components of Health Related Fitness (listed below)
5 components of fitness: Will have emphasis on personal fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance)
We will center our main lessons around MN Shapes GLO's. These GLO's have skill related components to them as a broader category. These skill based fitness components are listed below. d
Skill related components: Locomotor, object control (kicking, throwing for power & accuracy), striking, dribbling, Jump Ropes, tumbling skills, yoga, dance.
