We are sisters
We have fun!
We support each other!
We learn other things!
“We have ridden more than 5,000 km together in 4 years in Malaysia! We started in 2019 and we have 70 members from more than 20 countries. Each rider contributes with a small donation to Orchestra Juvenil la Caba, allowing youngsters from underprivileged backgrounds in Argentina to learn music. We believe in social investment, so we have also supported other projects in Malaysia..” Guadalupe Cernusco
What is Bike in Nature?
Bike in Nature is a cycling group which encourages self- awareness, personal challenge and connection with nature through movement as well as a space for us to enjoy and keep fit. It is a welcoming group where riders commit to making time for themselves once a week. We usually start with a short meditation and a safety briefing. After the ride, we regroup to stretch and share what we have experienced.
In Malaysia, where we were established, we meet on a weekly basis and riders renew their memberships every three months. We practice values such as punctuality, solidarity, self-care, responsibility and commitment.
We also enjoy social activities, workshops, and sharing our talents in the group. We definitely have found new friends here!
How does it work?
We allow ourselves to have one morning a week to ourselves. We keep our space in the peloton by making a donation to a good cause. The leader shares the location and the meeting time in advance. Each cyclist meets with their bike in good condition 15 minutes before we start our ride.
Who can join?
Individuals who want to experience joy and freedom while keeping fit!
The atmosphere in the group is one of camaraderie and respect. Nobody is left behind and each one rides at their own pace on their chosen bike, as long as it is in good conditions. We recommend road bikes but foldies or mountain bikes are equally welcomed.
We encourage members to get a doctor’s approval before cycling and invite everyone to share if they have a health condition to take their own precautions.
Where do we cycle?
We cycle on asphalt roads that are surrounded by nature. The location is usually outside the city which entails bringing the bikes in the car to the start point.
How many kilometers do we cycle?
We usually invite people to increase the distance gradually. At the beginning you may want to start with a few kilometers and see how you feel. Usually we ride around 10/20km. for beginners and 30 or 40km. for more experienced ones. For people, who want to train more, we have allocated another day.
Participants and requirements:
You need to bring a helmet and a bike in good conditions. You also sign a waiver in which you accept responsibility for whatever may happen during the rides. It is advisable to have insurance.
Who do we help?
There is always a social investment component in Bike in Nature. We believe in supporting good causes while we benefit from our sport experience. Through the Malaysia chapter, we have been supporting salaries of music teachers in a youth orchestra in Argentina. We believe that through education we can make the world a better place. We donate through www.helpargentina.org which is an online social platform which makes sure social organizations adhere to good practices and are accountable.

Testimonials:
It's over.... one of the best trips of my life. I return home very happy and eager to share with my loved ones part of what I experienced. These 5 days have filled me with energy and knowledge.
Thank you very much Lupe, Astrid and Eva for making this trip possible, I will keep all the good moments we lived together, while I look forward to the next trip! Knob Khun Ka!!, Carla Mexico, Switzerland
Just finished an epic Thai biking trip with 3 wonder women over the past 5 days. It was my first. Everything was going against me and at many points I almost gave up. Thank you family and friends for your gentle nudge. It’s been a great combination of hard work, planning, supporting each other, discovering a new culture and pure joy at the end.
We started with 46km ride building up to a 110km ride on our last day. We later learned from sky news that it was one of the hottest day with heat record of 54C. 🥵 On that day we left even earlier at 5am and it paid off. To cool down we swam in the sea and stopped along the way in amazing barista coffee shops with Aircon. Ate and drunk all the time. Can't bear the thought of another electrolytes... Would recommend it to anyone. Pm me to info if you want. Lupe our coach made it happen so I would be forever grateful to you. 🥰
We have dedicated this adventure in supporting Fatima. Khob khun ka Thailand,
Eva, Croatia, Malaysia
This trip started in a funny way. I joined a group of cyclists in KL and on the very first ride with them they told me about a cycling trip through Thailand. I was so happy to be back on my bike after 2 years that in a rush of joy I just said “count me in”. I didn’t know these women well, Carla I hadn’t even met in person. We all are living very different phases in our lives, and yet, this trip felt like I was cycling with my close friends and team mates. These women have turned out to be my teachers. Each one has shared their amazing wisdom with me and I consider this experience and their friendship a gift.
Sometimes we were riding in silence, each one with their breaths and their thoughts. Other time, chatting away like old ladies. It was wonderful.
Cycling is by far my favorite way to see a country. We were able to see the little details, feel the wind in our hair and stop to take a closer look at whatever we wanted. Breathtaking views, beautiful nature and the kindest people. We spoke with a thousand stray dogs, they were our furry guardians and they came in all shapes, colors and sizes Our rides always ended the same. A cooling swim in the pool or sea, followed by a 2 hour traditional Thai massage and delicious food. A reflection of our ride and a short planning session for the next day.
300 amazing kilometers with 3 superwomen over 4 days of riding. I am so grateful. Thanks for the laughs, wisdom and support Sawadee kaaaaaah forever
Astrid, Denmark

How was it born?
Bike in Nature is a project that came out shyly, organically, with the help of some friends. I am passionate about cycling and I have a life experience in this field. I felt there was a niche; there were either professional cyclists or people who didn’t dare experience riding because it was lonely and intimidating on their own. I started to offer taking a few friends for rides in the routes that I knew and all of a sudden the ball started rolling and today, after 4 years, people keep joining!
It is a project that made me very happy because I feel the space that we have created is beneficial to all. It is not only physical but mental health and much more.
I want to be of service to this community providing them a safe space for their growth and enjoyment. I share the skills I learnt from ontological coaching, communication and yoga in every session. However, we all bring lots of experience and wisdom so we share leadership, camaraderie, skills, and likes.
