Welcome to Phase 3 of A Toolkit for Coaching Teachers! Phase 3 is intended for administrators who are in year four or five of coaching, have developed a culture of coaching but want to expand these practices in their school. Many of components of Phase 3 are optional based on the unique needs and momentum of the school. Attending to culture and cleansing systems and structures continue to be a priority in Phase 3. Administrators will also continue coaching to leverage teacher talents as leadership opportunities and coaching groups of people in Phase 3 but will learn how to deepen these coaching conversations. During Phase 3, the administrator will select a personal coach for themselves (if they do not already have one). They will also have the option to learn about coaching systems and structures for classified staff or students, focused goal setting and progress checks with students, or peer coaching.
