How can I check my student’s grades?

How can my student log in from home to access Canvas and other resources?

The Denton ISD Single Sign-On (SSO) Portal is the one-stop shop for students to access all their school resources, including Canvas. Your student can log in from any computer by visiting the Denton ISD SSO portal [here].

What is Canvas?

Canvas is the official Learning Management System (LMS) used by secondary students in Denton ISD. On Canvas, you can view assignments, grades, and students can upload or submit their work. For additional details on how Canvas works, click [here].

What does "MSG" mean in HAC?

"MSG" indicates that an assignment has not been submitted by the student. Below are some important codes and their meanings used in the gradebook:

Is it too late for my student to submit late work?

Late work for both major and minor assignments can be submitted up until the end of each 9-week grading period.

My student was marked absent by mistake. How can I get it corrected?

If you believe your student was marked absent in error, please send me an email at Cgary@dentonisd.org. I will verify and correct the attendance record if necessary.
