Coach General is a super humble guy, so we need EVERYONE whose life he's touched to reach out WIDELY and REPEATEDLY to your network to drum up the vote Nov. 1- 16!

1. Tagging strategy on Virginia's SNOW DAY TODAY? Mine the list of who @VoteCoach is following and locate lots of media outlets and school districts updating their staff/students. Next, place the video or RyanMcElveen "Do It" image OR the video link tagged with #VoteCoachG in the REPLIES to what those sources post. Do it at all the weather reporting sites/feeds, too. Don't miss re-tweeting all of the messages in the middle tab "Tweets and Replies" of @VoteCoach on twitter where you see outreach to national influencers and media. THANK YOU! Adapt these strategies if you have better ideas for the homestretch! KEEP CLICKING and have NO REGRETS when this ends Nov. 16 at midnight. 2. If you are a GCM Student, student leaders are going nuts on Twitter using feed of GCM XC leader @sarah__tadlock . Follow both feeds and retweet!
3. Email the voting link and the URL of this page of our web site link to family, friends, colleagues! Send people to our Media Links since there's so much there to get to know Coach G!
4. Videos: Flotrak's beautiful 5 min. video is here. Other RADIO, print press and news videos are here. Send those links to friends. Or even better, get them to come to the Media section of our website where they'll see much more.
5. Follow us on Twitter @VoteCoach. Re-tweet us again and again throughout the voting period! Go down our list of Tweets AS WELL AS our "Tweets and Replies" and like each one-- it's fast and will get us "trending." Our goal is to tweet a couple times a day throughout the voting period. "Like" our community's tweets whenever you see them! Retweet them if you think your followers will enjoy being part of the big buzz. Voting lasts ONLY until Nov. 16. Tag #MileStates #NCAATrackField #USTFCCCA #NCAAXC- they have enormous followings. Send congratulations to local HS XC clubs AND THEIR ATHLETIC DEPARTMENTS from #DarrellGeneral runners @VoteCoach #VoteCoachG! Urge them to watch video and vote!
6. Smart Phones and texting: Using your smart phone, if you click on our website (the Media/About Coach G link is a good one since it has the video AND the voting link), you can click “share” and easily send to your phone contacts. Then on a second day, “share” the link to “Spread the Word” portion of our web site.
7. Put the voting link on Facebook! Follow us at "Voters for Coach Darrell General" where the username is "VoteCoachG"
8. LIKE! LIKE! LIKE! LIKE! LIKE EVERY MENTION of #VoteCoachG because it will get our hashtags TRENDING. And THAT will get the Ellen DeGeneres or Wendy Williams shows to feature us.
9. If you post pics of the GCM Cross Country State Championships, tag them with #MileStates #VoteCoachG + #DarrellGeneral! If you run anywhere else, can you use the same tags in your "thanks" to your earliest coach? Don't violate NCAA rules, but do what you can! LIKE AND RETWEET!
10. Instagram Leadership: Become a follower of @GCMVotesCoachG on Instagram and watch the pics and stories GROW. That account (managed by a GCM student) will follow you back to LIKE your photos related to Coach G. Get photographed supporting Coach G to see it posted and liked there. Not at GCM? WHAT IF an outgoing freshman or sophomore on YOUR SCHOOL'S running squad opened such an Instagram accounts and started posting pics of students voting, posting signs, etc. Handles for those accounts could be things like:

    • GCMVotesCoachG
    • VTVotesCoachG
    • YorktownVotesCoachG
    • MasonVotesCoachG... and you could follow OTHER schools' Instagrams, too? It could easily get the campus buzzing. Need a way to advertise the handle to follow? You can tweet us @VoteCoach to build Instagram followers. XC Captains might push this idea toward a photographer, a gregarious theatre kid, maybe a yearbook worker. Grab any of this site's photos or memes to start uploading.
11. Time for memes! (see blue below.) FCPS knows how memes work on snow days! Use photos from Oct. 25 tweets from @GCMSports1 or our Twitter "likes" but don't stop there! Show you're voting by adding your photo or school logo to create memes that push people to the voting link. Easy template.
12. Use Instagram and connect to everyone young and old on Coach's Team! Post pics of your friends voting, or our QR code!
13. There's plenty of media here to link and/or copy and send.
14. Add your favorite photo to your tweet-- images get clicked, team!
15. Who can hand out flyers or talk up online voting for Coach G at polling places on Nov. 6, ELECTION DAY, when school's out? A "Sign Up Genius" is in the works to link here and enlist young and old in publicity efforts.
16. Take a photo of our QR Code to store in your device, or bookmark this page, or add it to your homescreen on your phone. Then, get friends, neighbors, people in line at the grocery store with you to use it this way: A phone with a QR Code reader (there are plenty of free apps online) points the camera at the code, and the device goes straight to this web site. Voting is one click away!
17. Your social media: For the voting period, incorporate OUR banner or a Coach G photo in YOUR banner or profile pic at Twitter, Facebook, etc. Tag your photos #VoteCoachG. Voting ends Nov. 16 and it appears that the web site limits the NUMBER of times one can vote (at least eventually).
18. Do you know these accomplished GCM alums who benefited from Coach's great training? Please reach them to spread the word!
