About Me
I wanted to share with you how I got here, why I wanted to be a coach and why I'm so god damn passionate in my message.
Like most women, I spent most of my childhood, teenage and adult years, comparing myself to other women. I was quickly consumed by diet culture and chasing being 'skinny'. I quickly found myself in a binge/restrict cycle and using exercise as a punishment for what I'd consumed. In my early adult years, with a dip in my mental health, food became a real fixation and it started holding real power over me resulting in me having an extremely negative relationship with food and only using exercise as a tool to 'burn the calories' of the food I had consumed.
Thankfully, through education, growth and being coached by some truly amazing personal trainers and coaches I outgrew my toxic, negative beliefs, fell in love with resistance training, and gained the knowledge and passion for health and fitness and what it truly should be used for, to feel your best and live your very best life.
I established Coached by Beckie to help women not make the same mistakes I did within my fitness journey, and break the cycle of yo-yo, restrictive diets. My vision is to help women achieve their fat loss and fitness goals in a holistic, supportive and empowering environment. I want to help, educate and support them to not only achieve these goals but, most importantly, maintain them. The only way that is possible is with consistent support and education so that actual habits can be made and lifestyles can be changed for the better. My purpose is for women to fall in love with themselves and the process rather than the end result, but once that end result is achieved (because it will be) we will have set a solid foundation of good habits, lifestyle changes, mindset and fitness that will allow them to be maintained and maybe even levelled up!
