After CNU
October 23, 2025: S. H. Ham and Y. M. Kim were awarded the Best Poster Prize at the Korean Physical Society (KPS) meeting for research on the numerical investigation of heat flux in layered thermal metamaterials.
August 12, 2025: S. H. Ham and Y. M. Kim joined as undergraduate researchers and will focus on the research project for the heat propagation using the optical method.
July 01, 2025: Y. M. Kim recently joined our lab as a master's course researcher. She will investigate the carrier dynamics of THz devices composed of III-IV semiconducting crystals.

On the cover (February 02, 2022)
Our work on nonlinear THz absorption in graphene disks has been published in the journal Advanced Photonics Research: Plasmonic Terahertz Nonlinearity in Graphene Disks.
If the graphene discs are excited with an intense THz pulse of the right frequency, the optical properties change extremely quickly. In the past, mainly thermal effects were observed; this is the first study to observe nonlinear absorption that goes beyond thermal effects. This is particularly noticeable in measurements with circular polarization, which are illustrated on the cover.
