Brief Biography 

Prof. Dr. Han received his B.S. in Physics from Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea. He then pursued his M.S. and Ph. D. at the Department of Physics and Photon Science at GIST (Gwangju, South Korea). In his Ph.D., he developed a new type of terahertz spectrometer that enables the measurement of diffraction-limited samples in the reflection geometry. After completing his Ph.D., he moved to the University of Duisburg-Essen as for a post-doctoral position where he developed ultrafast optical pump-probe techniques to study light-induced emergent phenomena in various solid-state systems: topological insulators, plasmonic structures of 2D material. As of 2024, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Physics Education/Graduate School of Photonic Engineering at Chonnam National University (Gwangju, South Korea).
