A full-day Tutorial on methods in Computational Glioscience

9:00--12:45 Morning Sessions
14:00--18:15 Afternoon Sessions

Session 1 / Morning

Oligodendrocyte modeling

Session 2 / Morning

Modeling astrocyte calcium dynamics in the soma or thin branchlets

Session 3 / Afternoon

The Tripartite Synapse and models of neuron-glial networks

Session 4 / Afternoon

Ionostasis at the tripartite synapse

The goal of this tutorial is to introduce essential state-of-the-art modeling approaches to study neuron-glial interactions in the brain.

Program at glance

9am--10.45am SESSION 1: Oligodendrocyte modeling

11am--12.45pm SESSION 2: Modelling astrocytic calcium dynamics in the soma or thin branchlets

2.30pm--4.15pm SESSION 3: The tripartite synapse and neuron-glial network models

4.30pm--6.15pm SESSION 4: Ionostasis at the tripartite synapse

“The human brain has one hundred billion neurons, each neuron connected to ten thousand other neurons. Sitting on your shoulders is the most complicated object in the known universe.”
