It has eight cubicles and each unit can accommodate six pigs at maturity, in relative comfort. However, in a squeeze, each unit can house between 8 and 10 pigs. This translates to a maximum range of between 64 to 80 pigs that are ready for sale, being housed in the pigsty, at any one time.

A mature pig for sale will range from 60 to 100 kilos, depending on whether you are selling to the local butchery or to Farmers Choice.

It is the intention of CNM to introduce water nipples in each cubicle so that the pigs have constant access to clean drinking water. They habitually wallow and sleep in the drinking water troughs.

In addition to the commercial feeds, introduce BSF maggots and Hydroponics into the diet of the pigs. Test runs with the hydroponics showed the pigs have a natural affinity for the Hydroponics. We are yet to test with the maggots. However, literature on the internet (both literary and visual) suggests the pigs will heartily indulge in maggots.
