John Muir was one of founders and was the first president of Sierra Club in 1892. John Muir is one of the most famous adn inflential naturalist and consevationist in America. He is also known as the "The Father of our National Parks," "Wilderness Prophet," and "Citizen of the Universe."

Muir realized that to preserve national parks, it could not just be what "one person can do." Together, the Central Student Sierra Club, can work together to help preserve the nationsl parks and better the environment.

Although Muir died in 1914, his legacy has liveed on and has impacted milions of people and thousands of parks around the country.
