This team consists of four team members, three with mechanical engineering background and one with an electrical engineering one. The three members with Mechanical Engineering Background are Reed Farber, Andrew Harter, Jorge Salome, while Omkar Powar is the person with ECE background in our group. We have broken down out system in 4 main components, each which will be lead by one of the four team members.
The adhesive subsystem is lead by Jorge Salome, he will be in charge of designing the mock-up and the first prototype, and in charge of the plan to manufacture this system. Jorge’s second responsibility is to help in the design for the other subsystems. The locomotion system will be led by Reed Farber; he will integrate the adhesive subsystem with the locomotion subsystem, and complete the necessary tests for this system. Reed's second responsibility is to support the design of the cleaning subsystem. The third subsystem, the cleaning system, will be led by Andrew Harter. He will focus on the design of this system, as well as the efficiency of one of the other crucial subsystems of this project. His secondary responsibility is to help on the final integration of the system. Lastly, Omkar Powar, is responsible for the software aspect of this project. He will create different sets of code to be able to test each system separately and then put them together in a single file, to test the full system. His secondary role will be to populate the team’s project website.
