During the summer of 2019, another graduate student Mr. Stephen Steward (MA) I were hired by the math and stats department at UNC Greensboro to create videos for Dr. Sebastian Pauli's MAT 112 Contemporary Topic in Mathematics course; these videos appear on Dr. Pauli's course website. I was able to use my multimedia skills to develop a clean method for producing quality videos for our department. Mr. Steward was responsible for the voice over and assisting in content selection while I wrote the slides and edited the videos themselves. The videos were well liked in the department, so I was rehired a few more times to make more videos.
MAT 112 - 12 Contemporary Topic in Mathematics ( 84 videos )
MAT 181 - Foundations of Calculus I ( 18 videos )
MAT 196 - Calculus I ( 8 videos )
Calculus Readiness Diagnostic Test ( 52 videos)
Below are playlists of some videos. The first two rows are for the Calculus Readiness and Diagnostic Test that I made on my own, and the last row is the playlists for MAT 112.
I've always had a fondness for digital media and design. I make my own artwork as a hobby, and in 2021 I received a call from Dr. Ratnasingham Shivaji requesting a banner for his newly founded Partial Differential Equations conference. I studied his website design and various posters that I've seen in his office to get an understanding of what style of visuals he's partial to, and was able to design him a banner accordingly. This project was a success, so my responsibilities for this conference upgraded.
This was an online conference which first ran in the summer of 2021. I became responsible for managing the webpage layout and updating the site with incoming information, such as the program, schedule, registered participants, etc. Through this process, I was able to learn how to use the WordPress System Software and what goes into organizing a conference. I was involved in all meeting and had the chance to input my ideas and thoughts when it came to online delivery systems.
The first conference was a great success and has over 200 registered participants. When the conference ran again in the summer of 2023, I was rehired to assist. My responsibilities this time were far greater
During the Fall of 2023, I was hired to design a flier for the UNCG Department of Mathematics and Statistics Master's Degree program for Mathematical Foundations in Data Science, and to update the website with the most current curriculums and a new banner.
