Welcome to the Compuational Mechanics of Materials in the School of Mechanical Engineering at University of Ulsan.

Through the development of novel and efficient computational methods (including Finite element method) based on a mathematical foundation, the research goal of the Computational Mechanics of Materials (CM2) Lab at University of Ulsan, led by Professor Jinwoo Lee, is to understand fundamental mechanical responses of structural materials undergoing large deformations and fracture. The fields of application include manufacturing of automotive parts, computational design of metal forming, virtual optimization of forming process, mechanical joining, and so on.

Position Opening

We look for candidates for Master, Ph.D, and Integrated MS-PhD students who are interested in studying  "Mechanics of metals", "Finite element simulation and modeling", and "Experimental mechanics".

본 연구실에서는  "재료의 기계적거동", "자동차 경량 소재의 성형기술" , "전통 및 첨단 부품의 유한요소기반 전산 분석 기술" 등에 대한 학업과 연구를 수행할 석사/박사/석박사 대학원 연구원을 모집하고 있습니다. 또한, 대학원 연구실 학부 인턴쉽을 경험하고 싶은 학부생도 연락바랍니다.
