A monthly online seminar to try and keep up with cluster developments
Welcome to the website of the Cluster Colloquium!
On the 9-th of October 2025, at 17:00 CET we have resumed activities. The second Thursday of every month, we have guest speakers delivering one-hour online talks on current research topics related to cluster algebras and cluster varieties.
Abstract. I'll discuss a construction for rational "promotion" maps between products of Grassmannians using vector-relation configurations on certain planar bipartite graphs. In special cases, promotion maps (essentially) recover Fraser's braid group action on the Grassmannian and the splicing maps of Gorsky-Scroggin. We conjecture that promotion maps are quasi-cluster homomorphisms, that is, they respect the cluster structure "up to frozens". This conjecture has interesting implications for the amplituhedron, a geometric object which encodes particle scattering formulas. This is joint work with Chaim Even-Zohar, Matteo Parisi, Ran Tessler, and Lauren Williams.
