A monthly online seminar to try and keep up with cluster developments
Welcome to the website of the Cluster Colloquium!
On the 12-th of March 2026, at 17:00 CET we have resumed activities. The second Thursday of every month, we have guest speakers delivering one-hour online talks on current research topics related to cluster algebras and cluster varieties.
Abstract. We show that the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves on many singular projectve varieties (with certain isolated hypersurface singularities) does not admit tilting objects (and more generally no semiorthogonal decompositions of `Kawamata-type'). Using singularity categories, most of our obstructions come from cluster(-tilting) theory via non-commutative crepant resolutions (NCCRs).
We'll try to focus on the cluster-theoretic aspects and try to keep the prerequisites minimal.
This is based on joint work with C. Klapproth and N. Pavic, cf. arXiv:2404.07816.
