CLUB ROTARIO DE BOQUETE
Our club, chartered in 2005, is a mix of 30 Panamanians and expats of multiple nationalities. Our club projects focus on
Youth Services, Community Service, Maternal & Child Health, Environment, and Disaster Preparedness.
What are our projects?
Manchichi II - Maternal & Child Health
Boquete Rotary and Phalarope’s maternal and child health project benefitting indigenous women and infants in Panama. Indigenous women were trained to be Midwives and assist women in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca.
Scholarships
We award annual university scholarships for Boquete area students
For Rotary year 2023-2024, we awarded students each a $1,000 USD scholarship.

Repairing infrastructure at underserved local schools:

Casa Hogar Trisker
We complete needed facility repairs (leaky roof, plumbing, etc.), supplement daily living necessities (new mattresses, bed sheets, personal hygene) and bridge the gap in meeting the facility's food needs to provide for 55 residents and staff.
Mi Conexion II - Technology in Education
A demonstration project in three elementary school classrooms; introducing tablets and software to improve student English and math skills and enhance teacher efficacy.
Prepared Workgroup & Resources
Led by Andrew Baze, Club Rotario de Boquete, has an ongoing workgroup dedicated to helping individuals and the Boquete community be more prepared and resilient when an emergency arises.
