clousems 

Hi, I'm clousems.  This is a site where I write stuff, for people to read.  Which is likely an exercise in futility.

I'm just a guy with a M.A. in Economics who watches a lot of movies.  I do sporadically have interesting accounts of adventure, but these are uncommon.

In case you couldn't tell, clousems is an alias.  My parents did not name me "clousems" as a cruel joke.  I use this alias because I am terrified of people stealing my identity and money.  It's a bit of an irrational fear, seeing as how I have neither fame nor fortune.

Under the "clousems" moniker, I am best known for being on the website lichess, where I make snide comments and suck at chess.  If you do happen to know who I am, please do not share it-- I do not want to be blackmailed by the lichess-folk, who are a wily bunch.

This site was inspired by a bunch of people telling me that I needed to make a blog.  And so, despite my lack of faith in the usefulness of a true clousems blog, here we are.  

What can you expect from the clousems website?  Damned if I know.  My best guess is that this will host a whole lot of movie reviews and a sprinkling of liberal economics commentary written in my signature style.  On rare occasions, you may even encounter tales of astonishment and wonder.  Please rest assured that these tales are almost certainly fabricated to make myself look cool.
