Effective date: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CloseCall Cricket (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the CloseCall Counter mobile application (“the App”). CloseCall Counter is a cricket match-day counter designed to help users track balls, overs, wickets, and related match information.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
CloseCall Counter does not require you to create an account. We do not intentionally collect, transmit, or store personally identifiable information on our servers, and we do not sell personal information.
Information you enter in the App—such as match counts, settings, or notes—is intended to remain on your device. If the App offers an export or share feature and you choose to use it, the information is sent only to the destination you select through your device’s sharing controls.
The App may receive basic technical information made available by Android or Google Play when needed to operate, distribute, update, protect, or troubleshoot the App. We do not use such information to identify you or build an advertising profile.
PERMISSIONS
The App requests only permissions needed for the features you choose to use. Its core counter function does not require access to your contacts, call logs, SMS messages, precise location, camera, or microphone. If a future optional feature requires an additional permission, Android will display a permission request explaining the access, and you may deny it. Denying an optional permission may prevent only the related feature from working.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App is distributed through Google Play and may rely on Android or Google Play services for functions such as installation, updates, security, and device-level diagnostics. Google may process technical data under its own privacy policy. You can review Google’s policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not allow third parties to use information from the App for targeted advertising, and we do not sell or rent App data. If a later version adds analytics, advertising, cloud storage, or another service that changes how data is handled, this policy and the App’s Google Play Data safety information will be updated before or when that change takes effect.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Any information processed by the App is used only to provide the counter features you request, remember your settings, maintain security, diagnose problems, and improve reliability. We do not use App data for unrelated marketing.
DATA SHARING
We do not share personal information collected through the App because the current App is not designed to collect such information. Data may leave your device only when you deliberately use a sharing or export function, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the App.
DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information handled by the App. Data stored locally is also protected by the security features of your device and operating system. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Match data, counters, preferences, and other locally stored information remain on your device until you delete them within the App, clear the App’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the App. Because we do not maintain a user account or a server copy of this local data, we generally cannot retrieve or delete it for you.
If you contact us for support, we will retain the information in your request only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against abuse. You may request deletion of support correspondence by using the developer contact listed on the CloseCall Counter Google Play listing.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
CloseCall Counter is a general-audience cricket utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us through the developer contact listed on Google Play so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
YOUR CHOICES
You control the information entered into the App. You can avoid entering personal information, deny optional permissions, delete local records, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Your Android and Google Play settings may also provide controls for diagnostics and other platform services.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or our practices. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively.
