Explore the Quantum World: Openings for PhD, Master's, and Undergraduate Students! 🌌🔬
Ever wanted to look into and beyond the surface of solid-state materials and model the invisible?
Our group is tracking the hidden dance of electrons, phonons, and photons. We animate the atomic scale by developing advanced light-matter interaction theories and working with massive, first-principles open-source codes. If you want to simulate what happens when light shocks a material at the quantum level, we have a desk waiting for you.
We are seeking prospective PhD and Master's students, as well as ambitious undergraduate students ready to fast-track into a PhD program in our department.
🔬 What We Fight to Uncover:
Electron Transport Dynamics: Capturing electricity moving at ultra-fast speeds and scales.
Light-Matter Interactions: Harnessing photons to manipulate material properties.
First-Principles Computational Methods: Building the software frameworks that make quantum prediction possible.
Timeline: Positions open for Fall 2026 / Spring 2027.
