Matthias Hudecek's research aims to address societal changes that are driven by advancing digitization and the development of AI-based systems. Specifically, his work focuses on (autonomous) mobility and the perception and impact of artificial intelligence in various contexts. In addition, his research explores human motivation and behavior change from a self-determination theory perspective.
In his work as a coach, he draws on more than ten years of experience and expertise as a psychologist and systemic consultant. He provides impulses, guidance, and support with professional input, facilitating a development process that is driven from within and based on personal responsibility.
His vision as a university teacher consists of three elements: First, his goal is to convey psychological knowledge and mechanisms. He seeks to share his enthusiasm for psychology and motivate his students to go beyond the mandatory workload, delving deeper into topics that interest them the most. Second, he strives to foster his students’ critical thinking skills to build a foundation for responsible action in any context. Third, students’ personal development is important to him. He is committed to the basic principles of Humboldt’s Ideal, emphasizing the central role of developing personal abilities and talents in university education.
