ABOUT US
Mission:
To work collectively in Jacksonville to propel equitable and proactive solutions that address the cause and effects of climate change through advocacy, education, and community involvement.
How will we achieve our mission?
Advocate for urgent and bold actions by public officials to address climate change and make our communities more resilient.
Raise awareness and educate residents about resiliency and climate change.
Organize and motivating citizens from diverse backgrounds to get involved with our mission.
Ensure our efforts are transparent, equitable, and inclusive, involving all local stakeholders and affected communities.
Core Principles
Combating climate change requires local action, leadership and significant investments in infrastructure and communities.
Local resiliency planning must be coupled with a commitment to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Efforts to address climate change and resiliency must be transparent and inclusive, involving all local stakeholders in the process.
The solutions must be equitable and just, acknowledging that climate change often disproportionately impacts people of color,
lower-income residents and dis-invested neighborhoods.
