Close to Magic: Discovering Churchill: Interview in 2024 about sea ice, climate change, and polar bears in western Hudson Bay for short documentary on nature photography by Sergius Hannan Photography.
Note, there's always concern about bear ethics and safety when filming and photographing polar bears near Churchill. Nothing beats local knowledge and personal experience. The photographers hired local guides to instruct on proper bear safety (like not blocking their travel route, keeping a safe distance, and monitoring behavior). For more on bear safety, see The Town of Churchilll Polar Bear Safety Pamphlet.
