Meet Tam

After my own youth journey in Girl Guides and Scouts, I first re-joined Scouting as an adult when I became the Chairperson of Chermside-Burul Scout Group in 2013. In 2015 I moved into a uniformed role as Scout Leader, and I have remained in the Scout Section ever since.

Now at Cleveland Scout Group since 2019, I've enjoyed sharing my love of everything Scouting, specifically Bushwalking, Canoeing and Pioneering with youth and adults alike.

I am actively involved outside Cleveland as a Personal Leader Advisor, Child Safe Scouting Officer, Brisbane Parade Fellowship member and QLD Branch Diversity Inclusion Advocate.

In my professional life I am an Adventure Based Youth Worker, providing nature-based therapeutic adventure for complex young people.

I am passionate about supporting and mentoring both youth and adult members so that we can create a supportive, inclusive, fun and challenging environment for our young people to learn, grow, and participate in amazing adventures.
