For the summer Seneca is offering indoor play at Northside Elementary School. Three courts are taped and the nets stay up. The gym is open from 8 am to 4 pm and it's 'free' to play. A group normally gathers there on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Unfortunately, the gym will be closed on Wednesday, June 28 and won't reopen for pickleball until July 10 so that they can refinish the floor.
Here are some recent tournament results for some of our Clemson area players. Congratulations!!!!

They called them the 'South Carolina Ladies'. We know them as Kathy, Pam, Patty and Sue. The four attended a clinic by Sarah Ansboury in Brevard, NC this past Saturday. They enjoyed the clinic very much and will surely be talking about it this coming week.
On May 11 we had an impromptu meeting, so we grabbed a chance to get a group picture. The meeting was about donating money for balls. We're hoping everyone will drop a few dollars into the ball bin regularly.
There was an OLLI Demo Day at Nettles Park on May 12. Note Lynn's clever way to store extra balls!

Thanks to CCRC for putting down the new Pickleball lines!! Our group is so fortunate to have fantastic support from CCRC and the city of Clemson!
Great news! CCRC put down the tape for us. So we will not meet at CCRC at 5:00 PM on Sunday (4/23) to put down new tape at CCRC! Regular play there will resume on Monday (4/24).
We put down tape on both sides of one court at Nettles Park this morning - and used two of the CCRC nets so we had three courts (two on that court, plus one regular Pickleball court using a tennis net). It was nice having the smaller courts with less ball chasing ! The tape we used was a wide painter's tape ( - and we'll leave it there for Pickleball Friday at 9:00 AM and Saturday at 9:00 AM. (4/20/2017)
Today a group of players removed the old tape at CCRC! After a few days of the gym being used for a consignment sale, we will put down new tape Sunday afternoon - so we can play in the gym again starting next Monday! The great news is that we plan to remove the new tape next September when new lines will be painted on the floor!!! Yay! We appreciate the wonderful support from the town of Clemson for Pickleball!!!! (4/17/2017)
Sammie fell while playing on 4/13/2017 and is scheduled for surgery on 4/17/2017. Hoping her badly broken hand mends quickly - and she is out cheering Bob on very soon!
Update on Sammie from Bob on 4/20/2017. She had surgery on Monday to put pins in her hand. On Thursday they have her a new cast and some preliminary instructions to start her rehab. She was told to start flexing the first two joints in her fingers and to exercise her thumb. She is very happy to have the bulky/heavy cast replaced by a lightweight and removable one. They appreciate everyone's concern and are happy to say she is on the mend.
