Clément Gorin
Hello!
I am an Associate Professor (Chaire Professeur Junior) of Economics at Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris. I hold a PhD from the University of Lyon and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto. My research is positioned at the intersection of spatial economics, economic history and deep learning. Broadly speaking, I am interested in understanding how the movement of people and ideas shape the spatial distribution of economic activity and the development of urban areas. I am affiliated with the Sorbonne Economic Centre and co-directing the AI Lab for Human and Social Sciences.
Positions
I am looking to hire a full-time Pre-Doc at Panthéon-Sorbonne University to work with me on deep learning models for applied economic analysis, with a focus on image and language analysis (see Research).
Thomas Renault and I are seeking a full-time research engineer at Panthéon-Sorbonne University to join the project “Wars, Conflicts, and Artificial Intelligence (WarAI).”
