The upcoming Special Town Meeting on Thursday, September 25, 2025, will include votes on the new Multifamily Overlay District and Bylaw. These zoning amendments were created to bring Townsend into compliance with the MBTA Communities Act.

The Planning Board will be holding a PUBLIC HEARING on the proposed amendments on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Town Hall and online.
