Clear & Powerful watch face for Garmin devices

The Idea

The idea of this Clear & Powerful watch face for Garmin devices is to be as clear as possible with ability to present the data either when they are needed or when it's most relevant time to show them.

Wrist Move to wake up

Garmin devices, when displaying watch face, operate in one of 2 modes:

  • Wake-up mode - data & view can be refreshed in this mode once per second

  • Sleep mode - data can be refreshed only once per minute

You can wake up your watch face by wrist move towards your eyes. Wake up mode lasts usually for about 10 seconds (controlled by Garmin firmware).

The watch face can present multiply views with separate content:

  • Simple View - available by default for non-OLED displays (while Garmin is preventing OLED against burn in), presenting minimal required information while device is in resting (sleep mode)

  • Detailed View - by default presented in wake-up mode, witch can presents additional fields - especially below the main clock. Detailed View lasts by default for about 10 sec. and is composed of 2 screens:

    • 1st Screen - presents set of customized fields during first few seconds (3 sec. by default) of Detailed View

    • 2nd Screen - next set of customized fields presented till the end of Detailed View (till 10 sec. by default)

  • Always-on View- designed for OLED displays with limited information & floating clock to be inline with Garmin rules to present always on display

Note that you can extend duration of Detailed View, 1st Screen & Always-on View in the watch face settings.
