PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CleanMax - AI Storage Cleaner (“CleanMax,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Android application.
CleanMax helps users find duplicate and similar photos or videos, review junk and large files, compress media, organize contacts, and manage supported files stored on their devices.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Information You Provide
CleanMax does not require you to create an account. We do not directly ask you to provide your name, phone number, mailing address, password, or account profile to use the App’s core features.
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, message, and any information you voluntarily provide.
Please do not send personal photos, videos, contact lists, passwords, identification documents, financial information, or other sensitive files through support email.
2. Device Files, Photos, and Videos
CleanMax may request access to files and media stored on your Android device to provide its storage-cleaning and file-management features.
Depending on your Android version and the feature you use, this access may include:
Photos and videos;
Audio files;
Documents and downloads;
APK and ZIP files;
Other supported files in shared storage.
This access may be used to:
Find duplicate and similar photos or videos;
Identify screenshots, blurred photos, screen recordings, and large media;
Scan for supported junk and unnecessary files;
Find large files across shared storage;
Display files for your review;
Compress selected photos and videos;
Maintain a local Keep List;
Remove files selected and confirmed by you.
CleanMax may request broad file access where required to scan supported media and non-media files across shared storage. You can enable or disable this access through Android settings. Some features may not work fully if access is denied or restricted.
3. Duplicate and Similar Media Scanning
CleanMax analyzes supported file and media information to identify duplicate or similar photos and videos.
The App may process file details such as file type, size, date, dimensions, duration, storage location, and other information needed to compare and organize media.
Photos, videos, and personal files used for scanning are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Scan results and Keep List selections may be stored locally on your device to support the App’s features.
4. Junk and Large File Scanning
CleanMax may scan shared storage for supported junk, temporary, residual, obsolete, downloaded, or large files that may be suitable for review.
The files and categories available may vary depending on your device, Android version, storage structure, granted permissions, and App version.
A file is not automatically deleted because it appears in a cleanup category. You remain responsible for reviewing and selecting the files you want to remove.
CleanMax does not claim access to private storage areas that Android does not permit the App to access.
5. Photo and Video Compression
CleanMax may process photos and videos selected by you to create smaller versions.
Compression may involve changing resolution, bitrate, quality, or encoding settings and saving a compressed copy to your device.
For media-processing tasks that take longer, the App may use an Android foreground service so processing can continue when the App temporarily moves to the background. Android may display a persistent notification showing the task status.
The processing service stops when the task is completed, canceled, or fails. Original files are not removed unless you separately select or confirm their deletion.
6. Contacts
If you use Contact Cleaner, the App may request access to contacts stored on your device.
Contact access may be used to:
Find duplicate contacts;
Identify incomplete contact information;
Display contacts for review;
Merge matching entries;
Delete contacts selected by you;
Create or restore a local contact backup where supported.
Contact processing is performed on your device. We do not upload or maintain a server-side copy of your contact list.
Changes may also be synchronized by the account provider connected to your device. Such synchronization is controlled by that provider and your device settings.
7. Local App Data
CleanMax may store limited information locally on your device, including:
App settings and preferences;
Scan status or results;
Keep List selections;
Compression settings;
Temporary processing files;
Locally created contact backups.
You can remove this information by clearing the App’s storage, deleting the relevant local files, or uninstalling the App.
8. Automatically Collected Technical Information
CleanMax uses third-party services for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. These services may automatically process limited technical information, such as:
Device manufacturer, model, and Android version;
App version, language, and region;
Device, advertising, installation, or app-instance identifiers;
IP address and approximate location inferred from it;
App launches, sessions, screen views, and feature interactions;
Advertisement impressions and interactions;
Crash logs, diagnostics, and performance information;
Push notification tokens and delivery information;
Consent choices and advertising preferences.
The exact information processed depends on your device, region, settings, consent choices, and the configuration of the relevant service.
9. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The App may use services including:
Google AdMob;
Google Analytics for Firebase;
Firebase Crashlytics;
Firebase Cloud Messaging.
AdMob may process device, advertising, consent, and ad-interaction information to display and measure advertisements. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited.
Firebase Analytics may process general App usage information to help us understand feature engagement.
Firebase Crashlytics may process crash logs and diagnostic information to help identify and fix technical problems.
Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a notification token and related device information to deliver push notifications.
These providers operate under their own privacy policies and terms. We do not provide the contents of your personal photos, videos, contacts, documents, or other files to advertising providers for ad targeting.
10. Push Notifications
CleanMax may send service notices, processing updates, reminders, or feature-related communications.
You can disable notifications at any time through Android settings. Disabling notifications may prevent processing-progress or completion alerts but does not prevent access to the App’s basic cleaning features.
11. How Information Is Used
Information handled through the App or its service providers may be used to:
Provide duplicate and similar media detection;
Scan for supported junk and large files;
Display cleanup suggestions;
Compress selected photos and videos;
Manage user-selected contacts;
Save local settings and preferences;
Display and measure advertisements;
Analyze general App usage;
Diagnose crashes and performance issues;
Deliver push notifications;
Prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
Comply with legal obligations;
Maintain and improve the App.
12. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or upload the contents of your personal photos, videos, contacts, documents, or other files.
Limited technical information may be processed by the third-party services described in this Policy.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to:
Comply with applicable law or legal process;
Respond to lawful governmental requests;
Protect users, legal rights, or public safety;
Investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats;
Enforce applicable terms.
13. Data Retention
CleanMax does not maintain server-side copies of your personal media, contacts, or files.
Locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.
Third-party providers may retain advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or notification data according to their own policies and legal obligations. We do not directly control their retention periods.
14. Your Choices and Controls
You can control the App’s access and processing by:
Granting, limiting, or denying photo and video access;
Enabling or disabling All files access;
Granting or denying contact access;
Reviewing files before cleanup;

Disabling push notifications;
Managing advertising consent and preferences;
Clearing the App’s storage;
Uninstalling the App.
Revoking a permission may limit or disable the related feature.
15. Data Deletion Requests
Because CleanMax does not require an account or maintain a server-side database of your personal files, we may not be able to associate locally processed content with a particular individual.
You can delete locally stored App information by clearing the App’s storage, removing local backup or output files, or uninstalling the App.
For technical information processed by third-party providers, you may need to use the privacy controls or request procedures provided by those services.
For privacy or deletion questions, contact:
burakmungan7@gmail.com
16. Children’s Privacy
CleanMax is not specifically directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly ask children to create an account or directly provide names, addresses, phone numbers, contact lists, or personal media.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information directly to us, please contact us so we can review the matter.
17. Data Security
We use reasonable measures intended to protect information handled through the App.
However, no device, application, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Android device, accounts, backups, and stored files.
18. International Data Processing
Third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, and notification providers may process technical information in countries other than the country where you live.
Those providers are responsible for applying safeguards required by applicable law and their contractual obligations.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, permissions, service providers, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change.
The revised version will be identified by an updated “Last Updated” date.
