CLEANBOOK PRIVACY POLICY

CleanBook is a mobile application designed to help independent cleaners and small cleaning businesses manage clients, cleaning schedules, appointments, payments, expenses, team members and related business information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information CleanBook collects, how that information is used, the services involved in processing it, and the choices available to users.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account Information
When you create or use a CleanBook account, we may process information including:
• Email address
• User account identifier
• Name
• Business name
• Business phone number and email address
• Account and application settings
Your password is processed through our authentication provider, Supabase. CleanBook does not store your password in its business database.
Business and Client Information
CleanBook allows you to enter and manage information relating to your cleaning business. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
• Client names
• Client phone numbers
• Client addresses and areas
• Cleaning prices
• Cleaning schedules
• Appointment dates and times
• Recurring cleaning arrangements
• Cleaning duration
• Notes
• Cleaning history
• Payment records, including payment amount, method and date
• Business expenses
• Team member names and optional contact information
• Cleaner assignments
• Business settings and preferences
• Message templates
This information is provided by you for the purpose of operating and managing your cleaning business.
Feedback
If you choose to submit feedback through CleanBook, we may process the information you provide, which may include your feedback, an optional contact email address, app version, platform and synchronisation status.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information processed through CleanBook is used to:
• Create and manage your CleanBook account
• Authenticate users
• Store and synchronise your business information
• Manage clients and cleaning appointments
• Generate recurring cleaning schedules
• Manage cleaning history
• Record payments and expenses
• Manage team members and job assignments
• Maintain your application preferences
• Provide backup and restore functionality
• Provide local reminders and notifications
• Provide and verify CleanBook Pro subscription access
• Process user-submitted feedback
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service
• Support account deletion
CleanBook does not use your information to create advertising profiles or for behavioural advertising.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
CleanBook uses third-party service providers to provide essential application functionality.
Supabase
Supabase provides authentication, database and cloud synchronisation services.
Information processed through Supabase may include your account information and the business information that you choose to store in CleanBook.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat is used to manage CleanBook Pro subscription access.
CleanBook provides RevenueCat with a pseudonymous account identifier based on your CleanBook/Supabase user ID together with subscription and entitlement information.
CleanBook does not intentionally send your account email address to RevenueCat.
Google Play
Google Play processes Android subscription purchases.
Google Play handles payment authentication, payment methods, transactions, subscription renewals and cancellations.
CleanBook does not receive or store your payment card number, CVV or Google account payment credentials.
4. USER-INITIATED SHARING
Some CleanBook features allow you to intentionally transfer information to another application.
For example:
• Opening directions may send a client address to Google Maps.
• Starting a WhatsApp or SMS reminder may provide a client phone number and message text to the selected application.
• Starting a phone call may provide the client phone number to your phone application.
• Exporting or sharing CleanBook data may provide the selected information to an application or storage destination chosen by you.
These transfers occur when you choose to use the relevant feature.
5. DEVICE PERMISSIONS AND INFORMATION
CleanBook does not intentionally access your:
• Precise or approximate device location
• Camera
• Photo or media library
• Contacts/address book
• Microphone
• Call logs
• SMS inbox
• Browsing history
• Advertising ID
CleanBook may use standard device and network functionality required to operate the application, provide secure authentication, process subscriptions and provide local notifications.
6. LOCAL STORAGE
CleanBook may store certain information locally on your device to support authentication, offline functionality, synchronisation and application reliability.
This can include:
• Authentication session information
• Encrypted offline business data
• Synchronisation queues
• Application preferences
• Local diagnostic information
• Subscription entitlement information
• Scheduled local reminders
• Temporary export or backup files
CleanBook uses secure or encrypted local storage where appropriate for sensitive application information.
Files that you deliberately export and save outside CleanBook are controlled by the destination you select.
7. NOTIFICATIONS
If enabled, CleanBook may schedule local notifications relating to your cleaning business.
Notification content may contain information such as a client name, appointment information, area/address or outstanding payment information.
You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
8. DATA SECURITY
CleanBook uses reasonable technical measures designed to protect information processed through the application.
Connections to CleanBook's cloud backend use encrypted HTTPS connections.
Authentication sessions are stored using secure device storage, and CleanBook's offline business snapshot is encrypted before being stored locally.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
9. DATA RETENTION
CleanBook retains account and business information while your account remains active and as necessary to provide the service.
Information may also be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention or legitimate operational requirements.
Third-party providers such as Google Play, RevenueCat and Supabase may retain certain records according to their own legal, security and operational requirements.
Files that you export and save outside CleanBook remain under your control and are not automatically removed when your CleanBook account is deleted.
10. ACCOUNT DELETION
You can request permanent deletion directly inside CleanBook.
Go to:
More → Your Account → Delete Account
Follow the confirmation steps shown in the application.
When account deletion is successfully completed, CleanBook initiates deletion of your account and associated synced CleanBook business information and clears applicable account-related information controlled locally by the application.
Certain information may remain where retention is required or handled independently by service providers.
Deleting your CleanBook account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.
Google Play subscriptions must be managed separately through Google Play.

11. CHILDREN
CleanBook is designed as a business-management application and is not intended for children.
We do not knowingly design CleanBook to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.
12. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
CleanBook does not currently contain advertising SDKs or dedicated behavioural analytics or tracking SDKs.
CleanBook does not sell user information for advertising purposes.
13. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
CleanBook allows business users to enter information about their own clients and team members.
If you enter personal information relating to another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate lawful basis or permission to process that information and for using it in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to CleanBook, legal requirements or the services used by the application.
When the policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
