Our staff is selected with experience as specific exemplary members of the theatre department here at Crystal Lake Central. They are trained with activities to help ensure that your child learns more about theatre from the perspective of current/newly graduated students! Meet all of them below:
CLC English Teacher
Head Administrator- CRAIG KINGSTON
This is Craig's 25th year directing shows for Crystal Lake Central and 13th year directing the camp. He came into "The Theatre" knowing very little about the stage, and having much more experience as an English teacher and a basketball coach. That is still what shapes his philosophy toward directing: it's all about understanding the text and working as a team! This is also what inspired Theater Camp. Way back in the fall of 2005, two ambitious and passionate students (Nick Gertonson and Marina Mularz) convinced Craig to run a camp in the spring of 2006. With their help and just 22 campers, CLC-TC was born. Now in its 13th season with over 110 campers, #TC2018 is bigger and better than ever! Craig is so proud of the passionate, talented and hard working counselors that make this camp a success.
