Campers can be dropped off between 8:15 and 8:30 and can be picked after 12:00. The building’s front doors (Franklin Ave) are the most convenient place to do this.
Auditions will be held on Friday, June 8th, and campers have the option to audition for the musical, play, or both. Please note that if campers chose to audition for both productions, they will receive one part in either the musical or the play depending on what role suits them best. Those who plan to participate in tech or behind the scenes work are encouraged, but not required, to audition. Campers will choose one of the attached monologue to perform for their audition. For those auditioning for the musical, they must also prepare the attached song excerpt. Memorization of the monologue and song is encouraged, but not required, and there will be audition workshops and practice on the first day of camp to help build camper’s confidence!
We may ask parents to help provide costumes for this year’s final production. On Monday, June 11th, campers will find out their parts, and costume information will be distributed then. If you have a difficult time finding a costume for your camper, please let us know as soon as possible so that accommodations can be made. Contact our stage director Elena Starcher at elena.starcher19@d155.org with any questions and concerns regarding costuming.
Please note that there is no camp on the day of our showcase. Our final production showcase is at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 22nd. Campers should arrive at 6:00 in order to make final preparations for the show. This showcase will include: Beauty and the Beast Jr. and The Day the Aliens Invaded Fairfield, and improvisation. The production should run just under two hours in length. We will be asking for a nominal donation on the night of the performance.
