Challenging the Concept of Homes as Static Objects in a World Built from Waste
Contemporary homes, the way they are constructed, and the generic neighborhoods that comprise them are fundamentally flawed. Homes are built with the mindset that the way a person lives today is the way they will always live. But, life is not static-it changes, and the issue is our built environment is rarely designed for change. This thesis develops a modular, adaptable building system to challenge the concept of homes as static objects and the lack of character in contemporary homes.
