Located on the north section of Clay Street and the adjacent West Washington Street, there are two Multiuse buildings, and one Duplex. These are the proposed sites for redevelopment. The current vision is to construct a 4-story Multiuse structure consisting of restaurants, shops, condominiums, and apartments. Currently set up for more neighborhood offerings, the new development would attract a more diverse consumer base from the surrounding area. Increased commercial activity from a more diverse consumer would both increase the Tax Base, and decrease social enigmas such as crime, poverty, and marginalization.
Centrally located in the "Heart of Annapolis," the Clay Street area residents and businesses have easy access to major highways (Rt 50, Rt 2,), Downtown Annapolis, City Hall, etc.
With a rich and vibrant history in the "Old Fourth Ward," this banner would we a connector between two developed structures.
With a current county parking garage present and available for certain residents and businesses, parking spaces should not be an issue in this section of Ward 2.
Ground level shops, restaurants, and offices will be convenient and ideal for residents and municipal agencies alike.
Development will feature ground commercial units and residential units on levels 2, 3, and 4.
