A brief history
Clay Pot Farms started as an idea, a slow development of the land purchased by Chris and Kim Andersen in 2001. 20 years later, the small plot has evolved into a small business providing fresh produce and a unique wooded getaway

The first steps toward our family business
In 2015 we converted an old woodstove into a tatakua, a traditional Paraguayan brick and clay oven, which we use to produce wood-fire baked pizzas and other goods
In May 2020 we were introduced to disc golf as a way to pass time during the pandemic, and fell in love with the sport, constructing a 9-hole course on the property
In 2021, we purchased Adam's Pride, a 1955 Matthew's houseboat, with the intention of renovating it into an Airbnb cabin. At the time it has been out of the water in storage for 8 years

The Matthew's current resting stop as we renovate the interior and prepare the location for the cabin within the forest
Ascending a gravel driveway into the 16 acer forest, your lodging comes into view, a bow towering 20’ above you, docked in the trees. Last year we saved a 1955, 42’, 23K lb., wooden yacht from being destroyed, a new voyage for the old vessel. A DIY "preretirement" project transforming our property into a center for hospitality, sustainability, and the beauty of natural spaces.
Organic gardens and orchards, chickens, ponds, and interpretive trails immerse you in the off-grid, sustainable nature retreat emphasizing environmental stewardship. Guests will experience the craftsmanship of an antique yacht outfitted with solar panels and an outdoor kitchen. Below deck, a consciously-designed interior welcomes you.
