Yes! We utilize solar power to run lights, outlets, and warm water.

While we encourage visitors to take their visit as an opportunity to get a bit off the grid, the houseboat does not have wifi and streaming services

The boat is fully furnished with a queen-sized bed, kitchen with stove, and refrigerator. The on-board bathroom has a composting toilet and sink, and we rely on a solar shower in a unit outside for showers

Currently, the Matthew's doesn't have sufficient insulation to support visitors during the winter, but it's something we hope to incorporate by winter of 2024. If you're interested in staying on the farm, you can contact us about the several one-room apartment spaces available for lease or rent on the property
