Here at Claws Out! we base our cat scratchers on research done to show that destroyed furniture is a serious problem among cat owners.
This chart represents the data found regarding cat scratching. Only about 83% of people responded to the survey. As seen here, out of the people that responded, nearly all of the cats scratched furniture (about 81%) and about 64% scratched their carpets
