From 10:00am - Live streaming of Coronation service in the Church Centre, with canapés and fizz
2:00 to 5:00 pm - “Cake and Cava” in the D M Hall to continue the celebration
Sunday 7th May 2023
CLAVERDON
Visit the church during the weekend - dressed with flowers for the Coronation
11:00 am - Coronation service for the community in Claverdon Church
11:45 to 12:00 noon - Children’s and Community Parade from Claverdon Church, led by the May Queen’s procession
12:00 to 12:15 pm - Crowning of the May Queen, drinks and toast to the King outside the Church Centre
12:15 pm - Children’s May country dancing display, Community Choir, Children’s Choir, West Gallery Band
12:20 pm - Coronation Barbecue available outside the Church Centre
12:40 pm - Teas/coffees/ice creams/cakes - including the Coronation cake - available from inside the Church Centre
12:40 pm - Competition exhibits on display in the Church Centre
1:20 pm - May Queen’s procession to the Glebe Field for awards of competition prizes and certificates - and presentation of a Coronation memento to all the children
1:30 pm - Children’s games on the Glebe Field
PRESTON BAGOT
Visit the church during the weekend - dressed with flowers for the Coronation
12:00 to 2:00 pm - Big Parish Lunch in the Churchyard, with prayers for the King. Bring your own picnic.
Monday 8th May 2023
CLAVERDON
9:00 to 10:15 am - Claverdon Litter Pick from the Church Centre car park
10:30 am to 12.30 pm - Friends of Yarningale Common volunteering event, with oak tree planting, viewing of the Coronation Meadow and guided walks. Refreshments available.
1:30 pm - Opening of the King’s Garden - the village commemoration for the Coronation - by the pavilion on Claverdon recreation ground.
2:00 to 6:00 pm (approx) - Coronation Cricket Match on the recreation ground. Bring your own picnic. Tea and cakes available at the pavilion.
