King's Garden Opening

Monday 8 May - 1:30 pm by the pavilion on Claverdon recreation ground with the Community Choir and West Gallery Band.

EVERYONE IS INVITED! COME ALONG TO THE GARDEN OPENING!

To commemorate the King’s Coronation in May, and with the support of the Parish Council, we are creating The King’s Garden - a small community orchard of 15 fruit trees, with lavender and rosemary bushes, on land between the pavilion and the children’s play area on the recreation ground.

This will be a sustainable green project, in line with the King’s ethos and interests, is low maintenance and will provide a source of fresh fruit for the village!

Would you like to be part of this by buying a tree - or perhaps a branch or two?

Litter Pick around the Village

Monday 8 May - 9:00 - 10:15 am

The King’s Volunteering Monday

Come and join David Phillips’ LITTER PICK and make a difference to our village!

The roads and hedgerows of Claverdon can look scruffy because of dropped litter.  David and others regularly litter-pick – but here’s our opportunity to help on the King’s Volunteering Day – and perhaps carry on afterwards!

MEET at the Church Centre car park at 9.00am for a briefing, and then go litter picking in teams for an hour!

BRING strong gloves and shoes, bags (eg supermarket bags) for the rubbish, and if possible grabbers and hi-vis jackets – although some will be available.

BE IN TOUCH with us for more details and to let us know you’re coming.  David Phillips  on 01926 842057 or Gill Evans on 01926 842690.

Let’s tidy up our village together!
