I couldn't believe my eyes when I discovered Edward Burtynsky's "Natural Order" project. The distinguished photographer used the spring 2020 pandemic lockdown to find organic patterns in tree and brush close-ups. His photos were taken in Grey County, Ontario, just when I was on the hunt for natural order (and chaos!) on the beaches of the Southern Georgian Bay in neighbouring Simcoe County!
Selected patterns, textures, and transitions were turned into non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and included in a printed photo book. The photo ornaments shown above are available on the Juungle NFT market place at https://www.juungle.net/#/user/clausr-maps. A larger collection of high-resolution photo NFTs is available via the OpenSea platform at https://opensea.io/collection/designed-by-nature-textures. Lastly, a 30-photo colour paperback can be purchased exclusively via Amazon at https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09NRD25JN.
