What is psychoanalysis?
Psychoanalysis is primarily known as a talk therapy. However during a psychoanalytic process the patient is talking and therapist is listening to the patient's mental, emotional, and physical expressions. Psychoanalysis is about working through the unconscious roots of our problems and repetitive patterns in our behavior which cause emotional suffering. Deep in the psyche we have repressed feeling, thoughts and desires as well unprocessed psychic elements. The goal of psychoanalysis is to help you become aware, help you resolve, and bring about positive transformation and growth in your life. "The purest form of listening is to listen without memory or desire." Wilfred Bion
