Google Slides makes presentations in Classroom engaging. Google’s guide on Slides in Classroom (https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/6149237#slides) covers the basics, but let’s dive into tools.
Create a slide deck (slides.google.com) for lessons, like a “Civil War Overview.” Add visuals—charts, images, or videos—and attach it in Classwork as a material. For student projects, post a Slides template with instructions, using “Make a copy for each student” so they can edit their own.
During Google Meet sessions, share Slides live. Click “Present Now” in Meet, select your deck, and use the pointer tool to highlight key points. For interactivity, add a slide with a poll question—students can respond in the Meet chat.
To collaborate, use Google Jamboard (jamboard.google.com). Start a board, brainstorm ideas, and export it as an image to add to Slides. Slides and Jamboard make lessons and projects visually engaging.
